VoKalium
VoKalium is Volvox & Alkymisten’s studentchoir.
VoKalium is Volvox & Alkymisten's choir, and we have regular rehearsals once a week. The choir was founded in 2013 and has since then brought joy to all song-loving people in Volvox & Alkymisten. VoKalium is a low-threshold program that is open to everyone, both songbirds and song crows.
The repertoire varies widely, and includes everything from drinking songs to pop songs and medleys: Pocahontas dub and Dragostea Din Tei are regular hits. In addition to arranging our own concerts during the semester, we sing at most of Volvox & Alkymisten's events. With us, you get a non-monotonous student life, coffee and cake every rehearsal and the opportunity to participate in many fun social gatherings and events.
We have a lot of collaboration with other line association choirs, and we participate in larger events such as the choir festivals Korstock and Sjungom. Every year we sing Christmas in with IsoKor (Delta) and LURveleven (Spanskrøret): a cozy tradition with great people outside your usual circle. The choir festivals in Trondheim consist of a weekend of partying, dinner and singing, where most of the line association choirs, as well as the choirs at Samfundet, participate. The choir community in Trondheim is very large, very social, and something unique in Trondheim that you definitely don't want to miss!
We have open rehearsals at the start of each semester, but the rehearsals are open to everyone and it's never too late to join! Contact us on facebook or email for more info.
