Trollkom is Volvox & Alkymisten’s hikinggroup.

Trollkom is Volvox & Alkymisten's hiking group. We organize trips in the forest and countryside, such as overnight and hammock trips, skiing trips and Sunday trips. Every year, we also organize a summit trip to Geitfjellet for the fresh students during their early-days period. In addition, we arrange other outdoor activities in the fresh air, including swimming, ice skating and campfire cooking. In the past, we have also been on a koi trip, canoe trip, fishing trip and climbing trip. Here you can make suggestions for future trips! Trollkom's board members, known as the trip leaders, are gathered in Trollrådet. As a trip leader in Trollrådet, you get the pleasure of planning and arranging the trips you want, which at the same time benefit others. The trips we organize are set up on our own initiative according to the interests of the trip leaders, or at the request of others in the line association. All members of the line association with an interest in hiking and outdoor life can become trip leaders! If you would like to organize a trip or activity, just contact Trollrådet!

Estenstadmarka: Trondheim offers varied hiking terrain, just a short bus ride from the city center:
On the east side of the city center, close to Dragvoll, is Estenstadmarka. Here you'll find fine bathing waters and the popular hiking destination Estenstadhytta with good views and restaurants. Estenstadmarka is easily accessible by bus no. 3 from the city center. The terrain in Estenstadmarka is well marked with signs to most trails, peaks, ponds and lakes. This makes it incredibly easy to find your way around. In winter, there are ski trails in Estenstadmarka.
Bymarka: On the west side of the city center lies Bymarka, Trondheim's largest outdoor area. Here you'll find a wealth of popular hiking destinations, including field huts (Elgsethytta, Grønlia, Rønningen and Skistua), bathing lakes with campfire sites (Theisendammen, Baklidammen, Kobberdammen, Kyvannet, Lianvannet and Haukvannet) and peaks (Våttakammen, Geitfjellet, Storheia and Gråkallen). From the city center, you can take bus no. 11 up to Sverresborg or Byåsen Butikksenter and start your trip from there. There is also a bus (no. 26) that goes all the way up to Skistua a few times a day. Another option is to take the tram to Lian. This is a good option for ski touring, as the Skistua bus doesn't run very often. In winter, Bymarka is the dominant area for cross-country skiing, with miles of ski trails. Just below Skistua, there are light trails of 3, 5 and 10 km with tracks and skating trails - perfect for both training trips and quiet Sunday walks. If it's cold enough and the ice is solid, there are skating rinks on many of the lakes. Otherwise, Bymarka consists of a variety of terrain, ranging from rugged mountain peaks to forests and marshes. There are also countless gravel roads and trails to explore! The hiking trails are well marked throughout the area, and there are a number of trails and routes to follow - the only limit is your sense of adventure!
Ladestien: An alternative close to the city is Ladestien. The trail is about 5 km long and stretches between Rotvoll and Korsvika, all the way down by the Trondheimsfjord. The path is graveled and suitable for both walking and cycling, and the entire path is well equipped with benches and viewpoints. Along the trail there are many nice places to swim and barbecue. Korsvika is a popular destination for many as the area is ideal for outdoor climbing. There are natural rock walls for both climbing and bouldering.
